Good News & Bad News
Hi, everyone. For those who are wondering where my Pimsleur's Japanese notes have gone, I am sad to say that most of them have been taken down. I have received DMCA copyright complaints so I will not be posting my notes anymore. Actually, I haven't been doing my lessons lately anyway. I have chronic lazinitis. Haha!
But I have good news. We're going to Japan this year! Osaka, to be exact. And we plan to stay for 15 days. Yay! Hopefully that will get me motivated enough to continue studying Japanese. Would be nice to be able to converse with people when we're there. Anyway, just wanted to post a quick hello. I'm off to bed now. Goodnight, world. :-)

That's too bad, I really enjoyed your notes. They were really helping me with my vocabulary. Thanks for all of your hard work and enjoy your travels!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, and thanks!
Deletenoooo! :( I was using them with the course, it really helped me to see it written out like that.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, yes. Good luck with the course. :-)
DeleteHi Susan, what a shame! I found your notes extremely helpful! It's sometimes hard to pick up exactly what the speakers are saying (even with headphones on and replaying them over and over) and your notes clarified things for me! I was trying to find your notes a few weeks ago, and noticed they'd disappeared. I was trying to work out how to contact you to ask what was going on, but had no luck. I'm currently up to Lesson 17, after a 2 week holiday in Japan myself. Wish I'd printed out your notes when I first discovered them! Best wishes to you and thanks for providing them when you could. Pam, Sydney, Australia
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam. Good luck with your Japanese studies. :-)
DeleteI am not sure if they have the right to complain, except for the Japanese Conversation everything you post is your oun notes about what you learn in each lesson.
ReplyDeleteAnyway it's better be sure before posting anything else.
I was thinking of just deleting the conversation part and republishing all my notes, but I got such a scare receiving emails (Yes, plural as in many emails) from a bigshot corporation's legal department that I opted to just remove them altogether.
DeleteHi, i was wondering if you can send me the notes to my e-mail, pleaaasse :'( lfyanza@unicauca.edu.co
ReplyDeleteLuis, I'm not sure publicly posting your email address is such a good idea. Anyway, I don't have any more copies of my old notes. I typed them straight to my blog and referred to them from there. Sorry.
DeleteDo you still have a copy of them. Would you be willing to e-mail them to someone? I actually already copied your lessons 1-6.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I got lazy and typed notes directly to my blog. :-(
DeleteHey Susan, is there any chance you have your notes saved somewhere on your computer? I understand you can't post them, but I found them incredibly helpful as a guide for going through the pimsleur course and would be ecstatic if you could email them to me directly. Thanks for taking such awesome notes!
ReplyDeleteHi, Corwin of Amber. Unfortunately I typed my notes directly to my blog. I was terrified when Pimsleur's legal department contacted me and I promptly deleted everything. :-( Good luck on learning Japanese though. :-)
